Accountancy was my life until I took up woodworking. My interest in woodworking goes back
about 12 years to when I realized that there is more to life than just a 9 to 5 job. Like
most men of my age, in 1991 I was searching for an avenue to explore my hidden talents. My
wife Deirdre suggested woodworking. I started attending evening classes in woodworking. My
tutor at the time, Trevor McConchie introduced me to hand tools and to the Vintage Tool
Collectors Club of New Zealand. My first vintage tool was a Stanley # 41/2 smoothing plane
which I purchased from a second hand tool shop in Otara, Auckland, New Zealand. My interests
in woodworking and tools have been growing strongly ever since.
We moved to Canada in August of 1997. I have now decided to take my hobby a step
further, hence setting up the business Tool Junkie. I love the smell of wood
and using both power and hand tools. I have a wide selection of new and old woodworking
machines in my workshop at home. I sell the same quality machines and tools in my Shop
in Stouffville. We have the dealership for products from General, General International,
Delta, Porter Cable, King Canada, Hitachi and Blessy clamps to name a few. All products
we sell are of good quality. All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars.
Please do visit us. I enjoy talking to my fellow woodworkers and tool collectors.
Kind Regards
Murali Nair
